This 1989 Ford Mustang LX is a Special Service Package (SSP) notchback initially delivered to Regina, Saskatchewan, for use with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. A 302ci V8 sends power through a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential, and the car is finished in bright blue with white doors and RCMP livery. Blue cloth lines the seats, and additional equipment includes 15″ steel wheels, a light bar, communications equipment, air conditioning, and a cassette stereo. Previously listed on BaT in July 2025, this Fox-body SSP is now offered again by the selling dealer with a Deluxe Marti report, RCMP accessories, a non-working replica shotgun, the owner’s manual, a clean Carfax report, and a clean New York title.
The car is finished in Bright Regatta Blue Metallic (7H) with white doors and features RCMP decals, a light bar, a fixed antenna, 5.0 badging, and dual exhaust outlets. VIN stickers from around the body are shown in the gallery below.

Black-finished 15″ steel wheels are mounted with 225/60 Kuhmo Ecsta tires. Braking is handled by power-assisted front disc and rear drum brakes.

The articulated front seats and rear bench are upholstered in Regatta Blue cloth. Amenities include air conditioning, a cassette stereo, a light controller, a GE Communications Radio, a Motorola CB radio, a radar controller, power door locks, and a non-working replica Remington 870 pump-action shotgun.

The factory metric speedometer was replaced with a 160-mph certified calibrated speedometer under previous ownership. Additional instrumentation consists of a tachometer with a 5,800-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 40k miles, and total mileage is unknown.

The 302ci V8 was factory rated at 225 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque and was fitted new with a block heater, silicone hoses, an oil cooler, and a heavy-duty battery.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.

RCMP accessories are included in the sale along with sunglasses, a first aid kit, a roof-mounted patrol light, “Out Of Service” covers, and a car show trophy.

The Marti Report lists the Special Service Package as well as an order type of “Civic and Governmental Affairs Vehicle” with delivery to Regina, Saskatchewan.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage.
