This 2003 BMW Z8 is said to have been modified when new by Hamann Motorsports with the installation of a revised ECU tune, unique body panels, larger front brake calipers, a short-throw shifter, a lowered suspension, lightweight 19″ multi-piece alloy wheels, and a stainless-steel exhaust system. Finished in Bright Red, the car is further equipped with a body-color removable hardtop, a black soft top, xenon headlights, and polished mirror caps. Inside, the heated power-adjustable seats are trimmed in Creme leather and joined by a CD changer, air conditioning, and a Harman Kardon sound system. It spent time in Puerto Rico and Florida before being acquired by its current owner in 2012 and now has 2,700 miles. This Hamann Z8 is now offered in Arizona by the consigning dealer—a BaT Local Partner—with service records, an accident-free Carfax report, a tool roll, a first aid kit, and a clean Ohio title.
The Z8 features bodywork designed by Henrik Fisker with inspiration from the BMW 507 roadster, and the aluminum body panels are mounted over an aluminum spaceframe. This example is finished in Bright Red and features Hamann-specific body panels, which include a revised front lip spoiler, rocker panels, and rear valance. Details include a body-color removable hardtop, a black soft top, a top boot, xenon headlights, front fender air extractors, polished mirror caps, neon taillights, and quad exhaust outlets. The left front turn signal assembly was replaced in 2017.

Lightweight 19″ multi-piece Hamann wheels are wrapped in 255/40 front and 285/35 rear Continental ContiSportContact 2 tires. The car rides on a lowered suspension and is equipped with Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) and All-Season Traction (ASC). Braking is provided by red Hamann-branded calipers up front over cross-drilled rotors at all four corners.

The cabin features Creme and black leather upholstery that extends from the heated power-adjustable seats to the dashboard, center console, and door panels. Coco floor mats line the footwells, and amenities include stainless-steel door entry sill plates, a short-throw shifter, a six-disc CD changer, a Harman Kardon sound system, chrome-finished roll hoops, air conditioning, cruise control, and a Hamann-branded shift knob and parking brake handle.

The banjo-spoke steering wheel features silver trim within a leather-wrapped rim. Centrally mounted instrumentation includes a Hamman-branded 155-mph speedometer and a tachometer with an inset analog clock alongside auxiliary gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The digital odometer indicates 2,700 miles, approximately 100 of which have been added under current ownership.

The 4.9-liter S62 V8 is equipped with revised Hamann engine control unit software, which is said to have removed the top-speed limiter and increased the output to approximately 420 horsepower.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission. A Hamann stainless-steel exhaust system with an X-pipe is installed.
