This 1967 Chevrolet Corvette convertible was refurbished under previous ownership in the style of the race-spec L88 version, including the installation of a 427ci V8 equipped with a Holley 3418 four-barrel carburetor, an L88-style air cleaner assembly, an aluminum intake manifold, aluminum cylinder heads, and transistorized ignition. Additional work involved refinishing the car in red over red and adding a L88-specification cowl induction hood along with F41-style suspension components, J56-style brakes, and side-exit exhaust, and removing the radio, heater, and soft top. The car is further equipped with a four-speed Muncie M22 manual transmission, a Positraction differential, a removable hardtop, 15″ turbine-style wheels, and retractable headlights. This C2 was acquired by the current owner in 2023 and is now offered in Vermont on consignment by the New Hampshire-based selling dealer, a BaT local partner, with a Pennsylvania title.
The fiberglass body was delivered from the factory in Tuxedo Black (900) and has been refinished in red. An L88-specification hood with a white stripe was installed, per the selling dealer, along with a side-exit exhaust. The soft top was removed. Exterior features include a removable hardtop, retractable headlights, chrome split bumperettes, fender vents, and a driver-side mirror.

The turbine-style 15″ wheels are mounted with Coker Classic redline tires measuring 205/75. F41-style suspension components were added. Braking is handled by power-assisted heavy duty four-wheel discs, and the fluid was changed in 2023.

The cabin was reupholstered and underwent a color change to red, and the heater and radio were removed.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, amperage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 185 miles, which is said to represent the mileage since the refurbishment was completed.

The 427ci V8 was installed in 2011 and is equipped with a Holley four-barrel carburetor, an L88-style air cleaner assembly, an aluminum intake manifold, aluminum cylinder heads, and transistorized ignition. Maintenance in October 2023 included replacing a transistor amplifier, the spark plugs, and a coolant flush. The engine pad has been re-stamped and is shown in the gallery along with additional stampings and castings.

The selling dealer tells us that the Muncie four-speed manual transmission installed is a close-ratio M22 “Rock Crusher.” Power is sent to the rear wheels via a Positraction differential.
