Ronnie Rondell Jr., Man on Fire on Pink Floyd’s Wish You Were Here Cover, Dead at 88

Ronnie Rondell Jr., a veteran Hollywood stuntman perhaps best known for being photographed ablaze for the cover of Pink Floyd’s 1975 album Wish You Were Here, has died at the age of 88.

To capture the photograph, Rondell Jr. was reportedly set on fire up to 15 times, losing an eyebrow and part of his mustache in the process. He appeared alongside Danny Rogers, the man in the suit.

Rondell’s other stunt work included movies such as Lethal WeaponBatman & RobinTwisterThe CrowPredator 2, and They Live.
