Yungblud repped both the “Godfather of Punk” and the “Godfather of Metal” at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night (September 7th). The UK singer wore Iggy Pop’s pants and Ozzy Osbourne’s necklace at the ceremony at the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York.

On the red carpet of the VMAs, Yungblud told Nylon magazine, “I’ve actually got Iggy Pop’s leather pants on. Richard [Stark] from [luxury brand] Chrome Hearts said if you can fit in them you can wear them.” Meanwhile, the singer’s cross necklace was gifted him by Ozzy himself at the “Back to the Beginning” concert in July, just two weeks before the Prince of Darkness passed away.
In addition to his fashion statement, Yungblud also performed as part of a musical tribute to Ozzy, singing “Crazy Train” and “Changes,” and joining Steven Tyler on “Mama, I’m Coming Home.” While Ariana Grande was blown away by the performance, The Darkness guitarist Dan Hawkins was not a fan.
