This puff pastry fruit pizza is a summery dreamy that I can’t wait for you to experience. A cinnamon toast crust, a creamy tangy topping and alllll the fresh fruit that you can manage.

Sounds perfect, right?!

Nothing sounds better right now than a buttery, flaky crust that tastes like a cinnamon roll, topped with cream cheese glaze and all the ripe vibrant fruit I can manage.

Yes, YUM.

Let’s address the elephant in the room: my obsession with puff pastry. Or should I say – store bought puff pastry.

It’s so easy. And versatile. And delicious!

I can’t get enough and here I am, sharing a new recipe every other week or so with puff pastry. It’s just the best.

While most of my little puff pastry tarts are savory, I’ve been dying to make a fruit one. See, I used to LOVE that old school fruit pizza that my mom would make in the 90s. Actually, I think she only made it once or twice but I still remember how good it was. Sugar cookie crust, a tangy frosting blanket, fresh fruit.

It was SO GOOD.

I’ve made that before and we love it – it tastes wonderfully nostalgic. But it’s also pretty sweet! And sometimes I want a lighter (or less sweet) dessert. Because apparently now I’m old and that happens when you’re old.

Even though I spend yearsssss on this website telling you how there is no dessert on earth too rich for me.

Here we are. Me and my old lady puff pastry fruit pizza!

This is why I love it:

I made a cinnamon sugar crust. Sure, I mean, it wasn’t ME that made it. The puff pastry did it. But what I did do? Sprinkle some cinnamon sugar on that crust before baking. Essentially creating a cinnamon sugar crust.

I could eat that alone! It’s delish.

While that was baking, I made a little cream cheese filling/topping. Something tangy and creamy with a hint of sweetness. I didn’t want it to be anything like frosting. I sort of wanted it to be like cheesecake. Which is the GOAT of desserts, in case you’re wondering.

A little spread of that cream cheese topping goes on the cinnamon sugar crust. THEN!

Then comes the fruit. I love a mix of berries, peaches (always!) and even bananas, but you don’t want to add the latter right before serving. The bananas truly make it taste like my childhood.

Some fresh mint on top is also a nice add. It makes the tart look pretty and taste bright and fresh. And summery!

This is such a lovely treat! Not too sweet, but sweet enough. Tastes seasonal and fresh with juicy summer fruit, but warm and comforting with a cinnamon sugar crust.

It’s really quite fabulous!

  • Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F. Place the puff pastry on a sheet of parchment paper on a baking sheet. Poke the pastry all over with a fork so it doesn’t bubble up.

  • Brush the pastry with the egg wash. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar all over. Bake the pastry for 15 to 20 minutes, until golden and puffed. Let cool completely.

  • While the pastry is baking, make the cream cheese layer. In the bowl of your electric mixer, beat the cream cheese until smooth and creamy. Add in the powdered sugar, salt, vanilla extract and milk, beating until creamy.

  • Once the puff pastry has cooled, spread the glaze in a layer over top, leaving a 1-inch border. Top the cream cheese with the chopped fruit. Sprinkle the fresh mint on top.

  • Slice and serve!
